# Poseidon Testnet Guide

These guide will outline how to obtain ETH testnet tokens, which can be used for transacting, testing, and development purposes on the Ozean's testnet network called Poseidon.

## Obtaining ETH via Caldera Faucet

1. Navigate to the [Caldera Hub](https://poseidon-testnet.hub.caldera.xyz/) for the Poseidon testnet network.

2. Input your address into the faucet address bar and click request.&#x20;

3. Once completed, ETH tokens will appear in the specified wallet address. Receipt of these funds can be verified using the [Poseidon block explorer](https://poseidon-testnet.explorer.caldera.xyz/). Now you have ETH for gas to execute transactions on Poseidon's network.&#x20;

## Obtaining USDC from Aave Faucet

In order to obtain USDC that you can bridge from Sepolia to Posiedon in the next section, you will need USDC tokens on Seplia. \

1\. Navigate to <https://app.aave.com/faucet> and connect your wallet of choice.

2. Click the USDC faucet.

3. Copy your wallet address into the Send to field and click send 10 USDC. \ <br>

You now have USDC to bridge over into Poseidon from Sepolia.&#x20;

## Poseidon Testnet Actions

### Bridging from Sepolia to Poseidon

1. Navigate to [Poseidon Testnet](https://app.ozean.finance/) frontend and connect your wallet.&#x20;

2. Test the bridging from Poseidon to Sepolia by clicking the Swap menu, then clicking the bridge page.  If this is your first time bridging onto Poseidon, we recommend for you to bridge USDC into Poseidon and you will automatically receive USDX tokens in exchange for your USDC. \

   Input the amount of USDC to bridge, then click continue. <br>

3. Click Bridge to Poseidon and sign the transaction in your wallet.&#x20;

Your USDC has now been bridged into Poseidon and recieved as USDX tokens. <br>

### Bridging from Poseidon to Sepolia

1. Navigate to [Poseidon Testnet](https://app.ozean.finance/) frontend and connect your wallet of choice.&#x20;

   2\. Test the bridging from Poseidon to Sepolia by clicking the Swap menu, then clicking the bridge page. Input the amount of your asset to bridge, then click continue.&#x20;

**Note, normally you would need to wait for 7 days before your transaction is processed, but testnet has been sped up to avoid this issue. Upon mainnet, you will have to wait 7 days before you receive your assets on Ethereum Mainnet.**&#x20;

3. Click Bridge to Sepolia and confirm the transaction in your wallet.&#x20;

4. Your transaction has now been submitted. Click View Transaction Status.&#x20;

5. Await for the prove transaction to be ready in \~ 1 hour. Do note you can navigate to other actions while you wait for this to finish.&#x20;

6. Click prove to prove the transaction and sign the transaction in your wallet.&#x20;

7. Finalize the withdrawal by clicking Claim funds. Confirm the transaction in your wallet. After you have claimed your funds, you will receive your assets on Sepolia.&#x20;

### Staking USDX for ozUSD

1. Navigate to [Poseidon Testnet](https://app.ozean.finance/) frontend and connect your wallet of choice.&#x20;

2. Click the Swap dropdown menu and click Staking.&#x20;

3. Click stake.

4. Enter the amount of USDX you would like to stake in order to start earning US Treasury based yield then click stake.&#x20;

5. Sign the transaction in your wallet. Now you are earning US Treasury yield!&#x20;
