🔱Poseidon Testnet Guide

These guides will outline how to obtain testnet USDX tokens, which can be used for transacting, testing, and development purposes on the Ozean Poseidon network.

Obtaining USDX via Caldera Faucet

1. Navigate to the Caldera Hub for the Poseidon testnet network.

1. Connect your wallet and within the wallet, add a custom network with the chain details. Ensure you enable test networks in your wallet to see the test networks such as Sepolia/Poseidon. Chain ID: 7849306 RPC (HTTP): https://ozean-testnet.rpc.caldera.xyz/http RPC (WS): wss://ozean-testnet.rpc.caldera.xyz/ws Currency Symbol: USDX

1. Select the Faucet tab. Once there, navigate to the "Faucet" page using the tab bar.

1. Enter you wallet address into the displayed field and press request. No transaction is required from the user.

1. Once completed, 5 testnet USDX tokens will appear in the specified wallet address. Receipt of these funds can be verified using the Poseidon block explorer.

Testing Poseidon Testnet Actions

Bridging from Poseidon to Sepolia

1. Navigate to Poseidon Testnet frontend and connect your wallet. Switch your chain to Poseidon.

1. Test the bridging from Poseidon to Sepolia by clicking the bridge page. Input how much USDX you would like to bridge from Poseidon to Sepolia then click continue.

1. Confirm the transaction.

1. Note there is a 7 day withdrawal period when bridging from Poseidon to Sepolia. Cick View Transaction Status.

1. Await for the prove transaction to be ready in ~ 1 hour. Do note you can navigate to other actions while you wait for this to finish.

1. Click prove to prove the transaction and sign the transaction in your wallet.

1. Finalize the withdrawal by clicking Claim funds. Confirm the transaction in your wallet. After you have claimed your funds, you will receive your assets on Sepolia.

Note, normally you would need to wait for 7 days before your transaction is processed, but testnet has been sped up to avoid this issue. Upon mainnet, you will have to wait 7 days before you receive your assets on Ethereum Mainnet.

Bridging from Sepolia to Poseidon

1. In order to bridge assets from Sepolia to Poseidon, you need to either already have assets on Sepolia to bridge or you can utilize the Alchemy ETH Sepolia faucet that you can receive 0.1 ETH once a day.

   
2. Navigate to Uniswap to swap your ETH to USDC/USDT/DAI and connect your wallet.

1. Click your address in the top right.

1. Click the gear icon.

1. Enable the testnet mode by clicking the button to the right.

1. Go to the Swap tab and select to swap from ETH to either USDC/USDT/DAI. In this case I selected USDC. Recommend to swap only half of the 0.1 ETH (0.05) ETH to a stablecoin so you still have gas to bridge later on.

   • DAI approve: 0xFF34B3d4Aee8ddCd6F9AFFFB6Fe49bD371b8a357

1. Paste the corresponding smart contract address of the stablecoin you would like to receive. In this case USDC: 0x94a9D9AC8a22534E3FaCa9F4e7F2E2cf85d5E4C8 Click I understand on the custom token warning.

1. Click Swap and confirm the transaction.

1. Navigate back to the Poseidon Testnet and click the bridge page. Ensure you are on the Sepolia network.

1. Enter in the amount of USDC you would like bridge from Sepolia to Poseidon and click continue.

1. Confirm the transaction, token approval, and execute the transaction in your wallet.

1. Wait for the transaction to finish depositing your assets.

Staking USDX for ozUSD

1. Navigate to the staking page and click stake.

1. Enter in how much USDX to stake and click stake. Confirm the transaction.

1. You are now earning US treasury bill-based yield and Ozean points (Droplets).

Wrapping and Unwrapping ozusd/wozUSD

1. Navigate to the OZUSD Wrapper page.

1. Wrap your ozUSD to wozUSD by inputting an amount to wrap and click wrap.

1. Confirm the transaction. Approve the token for trading and custom spending cap. Confirm the transaction.

1. Your ozUSD has now been wrapped to wozUSD.

   

2. If you would like to unwrap your wozUSD to ozUSD, follow the same process as above but reverse the assets by clicking the double arrow or manually selecting.
